My son is big for his age. Fairly advanced as to his riding ability and knowledge. Have been considering the Arctic Cat's. I like the 4 strokes so was looking at the 90. Size is fine and throttle is governed which is acceptable. Only downside I see is no foot brake. Any opinions would be appreciated.

 

I would never match an 80cc 4-stroke with a cvt. For a 4-stroke, I think you'd be better off with a Honda.

 

My son has had his Raptor 80 Since he was six. Has throttle limiter and a removable restrictor plate in the intake. Has good power and can be modified as your child gets older.

 

While it may not matter to some, I'd take a hard look at that front end before buying a Raptor 80 to see if it's really something you'd want.

IFS should be a given on a quad imo.

 

Are the Ac 4 strokes cvt trans. I thought they had gears. If not the Bombardier 90 4 stroke is a great machine. Engine is a Honda clone and they sell for about 1850 here. But on the Arctic Cat quads. We race 1. And this has been the best quad you could ever ask for. If My son couldn't tear it up it can't be tore up. Because he has put this mini thru some ruff country pinned wide open.And hits jumps after jump. Very good mini. Both the Bomb and the AC quads. But this is just my 2 cents worth.
