Best Set Up For 250 Trail Blazer?
#1
I am wondering what is the absolutly best set up for the 250 Trail Blazer, when it comes to Clutch Work. I have a RCR Pipe right now, and a clutch kit with some other air box mods. My clutch kit is a Red/Yellow Spring, with S-58 weights. I am running at 2000 to 2500 Feet for altitude. I want this bike to have alot of get up and go. I realize the mods to the bike made a difference, but i still don't think i am getting everything out of the bike. If any of you have any suggestions on some good clutch set ups from experience, please let me know.
Thanks

I have done ALOT of different mods to my 250 in the past. I can tell you that the S58 weights are to heavy. HPD has the red/yellow primary and they only run s55 weights. I did not like that so I went with 52g weights and it pulled harder, accelerated quicker, and top speed was higher. The 250 has a ton of power to be let loose. They can be built to beat banshees. What you have done does not even begin to tap into the potential of the 250. It all depends on how much you want to spend. One big thing that you can do is get a rollar secondary and change the primary weights to lighter ones. You want very quick response and be able to beat 400's then get a reed conversion. Look at HPD-inc.com.

I've got HPD'seed conversion kit and I can tell you that its a huge difference. Now I don't know
if HPD is still offering the reed conversion kit because its not on there on-line cataloge.
