Default Stuck Choke Cable

Has anyone had a problem with a stuck choke cable. I first thought that the cable had rusted out inside the cable. When when I traced it to the carb. The cable is free all the way to it. It is somewhere stuck inside. I managed to add lub to the cable that goes inside the carb but it still stuck after stitting over night. I also worked it out a bit but when I put it back together and started it up. It got stuck in the open choke position. (Needless to say it's reved up when you start it) Anyhelp would greatly be appreciated. I really don't want to buy another carb.

the cable in mine get stuck in the POD, so when you turned the handle bars full right or left it would pull the choke on and not release it.

Default Stuck Choke Cable

Finally found the problem. Thanks for the suggestions though. Mud and Grime had gotten inside the carb where the cable goes in. Well it jammed the pin in the carb tube. I yanked it until it got out. Sprayed solvent in the hole and cleaned it out with a small round brush. Cleaned out the pin too. Worked it back in until it moved smooth with a light oil and it works like a champ now. Now I can get back on the road!
