Default Kazuma KMZ 150 help please !

Hi,

Greetings from Scotland

I am having major problems with starting from cold/tickover - like it won't start. I have stripped and cleaned the carb to no avail (it did run but only for a few minutes.) I have also cleaned, installed a fuel filter etc.

If I use "easy start" it will run and when warmed up is just about usable with tickover on very high but that is not a solution.

I suspect it is the auto choke unit on the carb causing the problem as everything else checks out ok. I have not figured out how this works and the supplier in the UK ( www.easternquads.com ) does not even reply to emails despite still being in warranty (aha!), and the wondrous claims of support have never materialised.

Can I buy a new choke unit? Is there a manual choke carb available? Its my sons bike and he's missing the quad as its now been out of action since the end of March. Anyone help me on a solution?

Thanks

Mike

It sound like it the choke to me. I have seen that problem sometimes. I am testing a few manual choke carbs now that I sent to some of the guys in the forums so they will post there report on them. But I will tell you that the new Yamoto 150 ATV has a manual choke now and it look like it will work on the Kazuma 150's. But the only thing is the choke lever is mounted on the handle bars. So something will have to be made up to make that work. Hope that I here something soon and I will post it!
All The Best.
