Is a pred the right quad for scrambles?
#1
Hey yall i am gonna start running hare scrambles and don't think my rappy is up to the task. After looking around i found that a pred has the best features of the floor. I was thinking a TLD, cause of the gear ratios. Now i only wan't to put a pipe on it and a set of nerfs. Am i going in the right direction. I hate a yfz's powerband. It has low bottem end and is more like a 2 stroke. And a pred has race ready shocks. Doesn't it?

The Predator's engine is more similar to the YFZ than the Raptor, it has a little of the 2-stroke feel to it also. My brother put a 12.5:1 piston in his and it helped the low end quite a bit. Stock shocks are very good compared to other stock quads.
If I was going to harescramble and could fit on one, I'd get the 450R. Smooth power from top to bottom, light and easy to throw around.

Yes, the preddy would be great for hare scrambles. Especially the TLD model. Has great Fox shocks (with rezzies), great bottom end power, maxxis razrs, and Douglas rims. And if you were going to get a pipe it would make it better. If you add a CDI too, that thing will KILL. Great quad, i love mine, and if you get it you'll love it too.
