250r runs good until 6th gear

250r runs good until 6th gear
my buddy was riding his r and when he shifted into 6th gear it just would rev up like another neutral. he could put it in 6th gear and let out on the clutch and it would just role and stop like neurtal. you can hear a roling and clickin noise when he has it in 6th. any thoughts??????

Sounds like his tranny is screwed up. I'd say he's pretty lucky it didn't lock up on him! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]
Needs to tear it apart and have the tranny checked! BEFORE it gets ran again!
