The new King Quad by Suzuki has won kudos from 7 major publications including ATV of the year by the National Rifle Association's publication: American Hunter.. I reckon it's time that maybe the boys over here at Polaris could learn a thing or two from the King of all quads. And before some of you diehards chase me out of here ...let me say this: don't knock it till you have ridden one...trust me...you'll see!

Depends on what kind of ride you like.

Jefffox rode a KQ and owned a Prairie 650 and he bought the new 05 Sportsman. GE4x4 races a sp800 over his KQ that he also owns.

The 800 EFI won the ATV Rider Ultimate 4x4 shootout too.

I'm a lifetime member of the NRA but for them to endorse the KQ just shows they don't know quads.
The racks are small and the storage can't compare, the Sportsman's also have the J-rail quick mount system, does the KQ have ANYTHING that can compare other than MAYBE a sportier (read stiffer) ride! For hunting it’s a no brainer.

Well I just sold my KQ over my sp800 due to it's not that great. My 800 did much better racing. I also know of 2 others that started racing the KQ and now they are selling them. The KQ is far from the best IMHO.

 

I would only own 1 type of product from suzuki,they make good street bikes & that's it,& honestly I'd never own 1 of them!!!Suzuki has too much rep for junk,I've seen it time & time again @ the track,in the shop.You can have it.

 

Gosh, I guess it's time for me to sell the 325 Trail boss I've had for the past 5 years. Probrably about time Suzuki made something that could beat it. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]

I drove the King Quad over various terrain. It's a fine machine. I like it. The Sportsman had many other features I liked that the King Quad didn't have. The machines are targeting a different audience. It's all about preferences as they say.

When the King Quad surpasses the unit sales of the Sportsman then we can talk.

over the years id hope the sportsman would sell more considering theres 9 models of it... and its been out since 1996 if im correct

as of now, theres the 400/500HO/600/700 EFI/700 Carb/ 700MV/ and the 800....

thats still 7 models....
