Default SP 500 non HO upgrades

Hello all,

I have searched on some upgrades to make my non ho perform like the ho.

I will be adding some new tires ( I think mud lites 26" ) to both of my machines. I do all types of riding, rock gravel, mud.

What do you all recomend to bring my non ho up to a ho level.

The dealer said take off my EBS, not sure if thats a good idea???

I have read that the clutch kits are the way to go.

Thanks,

DSLKSL

what i am planning on doing to my 2000 500.

AAEN ho update cam (done)
Clutch kit (from who i havent decided yet)
Upgrade the carb to an ho carb
K&N Air filter
26 inch mudlites or 589's

now keep in mind that when you kick your tires up a size you are taking away a little bit of spunk from your bike. it takes a little extra juice to turn bigger wheels. Although im sure the 500 engine can handle them without a problem. the clutch kit is going to offer you the most bang for your buck.

as far as taking off the EBS i cant advise you on that.

Did the new cam help?
I also have a K&N filter did'nt notice anything.

Does anyone know if the Mud lites are wider? I don't have much more room in my trailer.
