Default REAR BEARING PLAY ON 400 SPORTSMAN

Hi, I have a 2004 400 sportsman 1200 miles on it. I was out on the weekend and was in some real nasty mud and then in a lot of clear cut areas. Drove over a lot of stumps and trees,To make a long story short the bike was punished on the weekend. So I decided last night to give the suspension a good once over looking for tore boots or leaking seals anything of that sort. The only thing I found was the back wheels seem to have some play in them. When the rear wheels are off the ground you have some movement when you grab the top and bottom of the tire. It isn't much but it is there. I got my manual out and checked and it shows that rear hub bolt should be torqued at 100lbs.I haven;t had time to check the torque yet,but is this normal after some miles to have to retorque that hub bolt?
