Default yfz250 2 stroke???????

being that yamaha and honda are always head to head,if one makes something, the other makes something to compete and then people argue and argue over wich is better.,oh why oh why didnt yamaha make a 250 2 stroke quad like the quadracer, honda 250r,and the kawasaki tecate? I am willing to bet if they had made one then the honda 250r would not have dominated so much. I mean,in a drag, with all stock bikes,a banshee would straight lay waste to a tecate,250r,or quadracer, but then the 250r and quadracer would kill the banshee on the mx track. so anyone have any clues as to why they didnt?

No one really knows, i think that they were developing the banshee, because they knew it would sell like crazy.

Ihave a 88YZ250....the thing kicks @$$ on the bike frame, but personally I dont think it would be worth a crap in a quad frame, it produces high RPM HP but I think it lacks on the torque, even with the powervalve!

Well,i would think they wouldnt have put the exact same motor in the 250 quad as they did the yz 250,they would have at least had different gearing/porting/compression. the trx motors werent even powervalved, and the old cr motors were

There not banning 2-strokes, just have to pass stricter emmisions. They can, just depends if they want to even put the R&D in 2-stroke quads.
