my quad is making this winding noise (pretty loud) usally when i let off the gas i hear it but sometimes it will make the noise while im just cruising around. anyone got an idea what it is?

 

Mine was too Its brandnew and I let my gfs dad ride it he said there is a chain inside the engine to drive the valves he said it might be that or the rear chain we put some lube on the rear chain and I didnt hear it but Im not sure if that solved it

 

mine allways makes a weird winding noise its the chain and the guide get some good!!! not cheap chain wax be sure to not to spray it all over your swing arm it stains and it is hard!! to get off but it will queit'in it down do after every rider or washing jus pick up the back of you quad sit it on a 5 gallon bucket or crate crank ur atv in first gear let the clutch out and put the tip of the chain wax straw rite up to the chain and lube it up it easier to get the whole chain evenly coated an to avoid makeing a mess.
