Default Brake pads for 05 500

Checked the front brakes on my cat today, the pads are getting a little thin. Called the local AC dealer to price pads for the bike (this guy is not noted for good prices), quoted $19.00 a wheel. Do any one know of a cheaper pad out there. Best quote for a dealer I got was 13.00 a wheel in Alabama. Thanks

How many miles you have on that thing? My 05 has a 1000 miles on it since lat November and the pads are just fine. Not even half gone. If you aren't riding the brakes, something is wrong.

Yeah, I had about 2000 on my 99 model and still had good brakes left when I sold it. I can remember people with Polaris Sportsmans (like the non-EBS kind in 97-97 mainly) only getting around 500 miles on a set.

The bike is approaching 1500 miles. 70% of these miles has been open country miles, the other 30% has been with the bike either in mud or mud/water combo up to the motor. Didn't know if the mud, combined with the high speed riding might have caused more abrasion on the pads, but I guess that I probably have only another 500+ miles left.
