a few fun facts:
660R engine: 103lbs.
XR650 engine: 88 lbs.
raptor's width: 43.25"
400EX width: 45.3"
raptor's height: 45.2"
400ex height: 43.7"
raptor has a better clutch, but softer
front suspention.
conclusion: honda could easily make a machine
that could kill the raptor.
will they? i doubt it, but if they do, i'll be the first guy on the list! (bye bye mr. trailblazer!)

what are your thoughts on this?

I think the Honda forum should quit obsessing on the Raptor. Yamaha may not be the biggest seller, but look how many sport bikes that they offer. Honda offers two grossly underpowered quads (300-400EX) Yamaha has the Blaster, Warrior, Banshee, and now the Raptor. Some may even count the Wolverine as a sport model. I almost forgot, Honda now has the ferocious 250EX. I'm sure Yamaha is shaking.

yeah, it is too bad honda's new sport quad for the next decade has shaft drive and an auto clutch. by the way i was just stating that honda could, but is too interested in their dirtbikes to care about the quads (which are making them most of their money by the way!!!!!!!!)

that would be nice to see, but as the rumor about the 660R being discontinued... i could almost belive it the way our goverment is anymore... if honda would actually build a quad like that it would easiliy be a top seller

Excuse me Master 400, but my underpowered 400 puts out 52 HP, compared to the 26 shetland ponies your EX puts out. I have raced many a 400EX, and sent them all home red faced. Good Day.

Quadfather,

I can't believe you haven't got the point yet......YOU ARE NOT VERY WELCOMED IN THE HONDA FORUM! All you do is keep cutting Honda down. I'm sick and tired of this. Putting "sport" on the side of any Polaris is a joke. Too heavy, single lever brake, automatic, etc. Yes, I do have a Polaris, but it's for the wife. Go buy a Honda, and you'll see why so many of us have them. You have alot of mods to your sport. If I put as much money into my 400 as you do into yours.......you'd be eating dirt. I've raced a mild sport. He had a pipe, high flow filter, and a clutch kit. He got me off of the line, but as soon as I hit third...it was all over. He could keep up with me on dirt roads okay, but as soon as the trail got technical, i could pull away from him. Race a 440ex once, and you better wear a chest protector to stop the rocks. All you would see is the tail light. So, either buy a honda, or go back to the Polaris forum.

52 horsepower until the power goes to the belt, then spinns so fast it dosen't catch, and creates a lot of heat, causing your "BIG BLACK BOX" to ignite!...

sorry but, from all your pathetic posts, you seem like a wannabe, and i'd demolish you anywhere...

yeah, the only reason you beat people in a drag is because of the pathetic automatic tranny!

we might only be able to drag 3 times before something goes wrong on you bike tho...
