I was tearing my quad down yesterday, so I could paint my frame, and I noticed that the weld on the top of my case saver had broken. And upon futher inspection I discovered that the case has split all the way up to the cylinder. I talked to Rick about it, and he said that he TIG welds his case savers on, and hasnt had one break yet. Mine was welded with a MIG. The guy I had do it has a machine shop and has been welding for a long time, so I duno. The weld split rite down the center of the bead, and it took a little hunk of the case with it.
All Im saying here is.. you guys that bought a saver and had it welded on.. beter keep an eye on it [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img]

Where did you guys get your case savers from?
I have been wanting to get one for some time.
I guess i will NOT have it MIG welded.
