Default New 05 650LE Home at last!!

Holly crap Batman - did I make the right choice? Yes I did!! I just got home with the new 650 and WOW - what a step up from the wife's 400. Just did a quick 15 mile loop and have to say - boy am I impressed. This thing is just soooo smooth. Might have to give the suspension a tighen and turn here and there - but really look forward to putting some miles on!

By the way....does the Kawee loosen up after so many miles. My wife's 400 really came alive after some ride time?

Thanks again for your advice -

Go Cat GO!

Gald to hear it! It will really be nice for your rides to your cabin, that large fuel tank will come in handy! Also has all the power you need. Enjoy!

If you really want the thing to look sick and go through or over anything get a set of larger tires. I have had both 589's and Mud Lites on various machine, the change is amazing from factory.

Congrates on the new ride!!! I love mine!

My 650 loosened up, I wouldn't say a huge power diff, but it was noticeable.

I see that many of you have the Dyna CDI installed. Is there a big difference? What are the gains?

My 650 wheelied pretty easy before the CDI, but after I put it in....holy crap.

Serious gains from dead stop or slow roll, no more reverse limiter, limp mode disabled, few extra revs up top, big boost to fun factor if you like ridin on 2.

in my book the three things every 650 needs is the dyna cdi, aftermarket 6-ply tires, (itp 589's, mudlites or so on there are quite a few) and a winch. my 650 didn't really make any horsepower gains when it got broken in, nothing like my 500's did. with the dyna cdi in you can tell that the motor runs smoother to and it seems to keep it cooler as well, not much just a lil bit. and with 6-ply tires the handling is night and day difference specially if you ride more aggressively.
