Default 2006 Model Preview - Red Rider Mag

The new Red Rider magazine has some minor details on the new '06 models. There's nothing too exciting here, but I know everyone is hungry for some news, so I will re-type the blurb here for your reading pleasure:

---
"Hold it! -- don't touch that calendar. Yes, we understand it's barely half-past 2005, but we've already got an inside look at some of the first 2006-model-year ATVs from Honda.

These early-release models are minimally changed from last year, but they give us a chance to see what the future holds in store for us. The second wave of new models will hit a few months down the road, so stay tuned to Honda Red Rider ATV magazine as we bring you the latest as soon as they're available.

For 2006, the popular TRX500FA FourTrax Foreman Rubicon will receive a new color option with Black bodywork, to be specific. Meanwhile, the hard-working two-wheel-drive FourTrax Foreman 500, the TRX500TM, will pick up a Blue color scheme.

The new season also finds the TRX400FA FourTrax Rancher with the addition of a Black color choice. And the popular little FourTrax Recon, in TRX250TE as well as TM variants, both come in Blue, as well as the returning Red and Olive, for 2006.

Our peek into the future concludes with two sporty models, the TRX400EX and TRX300EX. With both of these eager movers, Black replaces the Yellow bodywork option for 2006."
---

That's all. No TRX800FA with the Rubicon tranny and a locker...yet.

Cheers.

Wow, bold new color changes! I always thought that black looks crappy after the first ride. Looks good on the showroom floor though, and that is what sells bikes.

The Foreman 500 2wd is ALREADY available in BLUE, so what is the big deal???

You're right, it is already available in blue. But, that's what the article said. I suppose it is either a) just flat wrong, b) a different shade of blue, or c) a different model is getting the blue. My vote is "c".

I gathered from the Red Rider magazine that the only early releases were those with little or no changes. I guess that means that there will be changes on the 450R, Rincon and 250ex. It would almost have to be electric start on the 450R and maybe a displacement boost or low range on the Rincon. Who knows about the 250EX. Sounds like it will be interesting when they make the releases later this year.

Ya that sounds like Honda!!!!!!!! they will probably bore it 50cc (Rincon) and add a side by side to the line up we'll Know sept.

I feel a little better about buying my yellow 400ex (with reverse)it goes with my bike well some what
Wanted the 450R but needed reverse(kids)

I want a 750 800cc machine low irs(stable), fuel injection, Rubicon trany, LOCKER, a power house, wheelie with easy And would just smoke a brute but I'm dreaming
!!!!!!!!WHY WONT YOU LISTEN HONDA!!!!!!!!

I'm more of a 4x4 guy but the sport Quad is very fun just hard to go slow! I like to claw my way up better than sling shot up and over. So I don't care for the 650EX HE LL my 400ex scares the crap out of me let alone an 450r!!!!! But that's just me
