I was going through the forums and I wanted to know how they work 1988fast250x? How much does the bracket cost? ANd do you need to but a bracket for the a-arms too? I want to make my front end wider for my 250x.

The bracket is just for shocks. The 400ex shocks are longer and the bracket relocates the top mount up and out from the stock 300ex location. Ours has both the shocks and the a-arms from the 400ex. It works pretty good.

My son has been running the 400ex a arms and shocks for about 1 1/2 years, much better ride, jumps are handled a lot better, no bottoming out, with spacers on the back to match the front, it slides the corners a lot better. I also put a 2001 Raptor rear shock on the back, gives 1 more inch travel, and has compression and rebound adjustment. You just have to add a longer rez line to mount it to the frame, and it works great.

My trx250x/atc350x has 400ex a-arms/shocks. The bracket that I used for the shocks is the better bracket made from heavy gage steal and is 4 piece with 2 position. The 400ex shock is longer and allows for more travel. The 400ex a-arms bolt right up with no modification, but you must use the 400ex tie rods or equal to length, the shocks will also bolt right up with the relocator bracket. The one thing that I did do to make the shock bracket fit right was to grind the inside corner to clear the stock shock mount gusset. You probably would'nt have to do this but it will bend the gusset if you don't. You will see what I am talking about when you go to install the bracket, if you are using the same bracket as I am. The bracket that I used is from the same seller on ebay that sells the a-arm ext. kits. The handling of the quad with the complete 400ex front suspension is much better. I also put a durablue axle in to make up for the width, but now my rear end is a little bit wider, but I like it. Well I hope all this info helps out. RUSS
