alright i was thinkin about a yfz but my bro told me that they are hight matience and that they are only for racing i want to start racing seriously but then i also want to ride with my friends which atv should i get?

well the obvious answer would be a YFZ450. all quads you have to do maintence. the YFZ450 isnt any different from any other quad. if you plan to race... a YFZ450 is a must. other wise you will be spending alot of money in mods on a z400 just to make it keep up with a yfz.

just get a YFZ450

 

ill tell ya quick... change the oil and filli t up with gas how hard is that for maintenence... you start having bigger problems when you get a lot of stuff done on most bikes but with the amount i have on mine i have no maintence at all... YFZ rocks if he gets aything less he'll be getting smoked by the yfz and wish he got it

reverse you make a decision is it has reverse what does he ride... the bike is so light you can just pick it up and move it

 

why are you listening to your bro? are you buying it for him? its your quad. get what YOU want, not what your brother wants...just buy the YFZ like vinny said. you dont need reverse. just lift up with 1 hand and turn it around. its that simple.

it is not soooo light.. its like 355 dry weight.. kfx/z is 373.. not that much difference. Get the 400 IMO.. has reverse.. which is a MUST for trails, and wit a few mods, ull b riding with YFZ's all day long.

 

funny u say he dosent want me to out perform him he ride yz 250 f dirtbike we have a big track on my banshee i jumped one of the smaller jumps but it was still like a 50-55 ft double next day he made it bigger i still jumped it3rd pinned
