YOU CAN DO WHATever you want to the kfx and it wont hang with the yfz... the 50cc's and it being lighter is all it needs and btw its 350lbs i dunno where you get your info from but thats a fact 350lbs.... kawi. can try and hang but yfz will prevail overall... reverse isnt that big of a deal either i have yet needed it... and i ride evrything

 

i woundnt say "few" mods to keep up with a YFZ. more like fewThousand $$$ to hang with a YFZ. i forget which dirtwheels issue it was but they were comparing modded pred, and z400 vs a stock YFZ.... the Z400 had about $3,000 is mods, bore kit, lighter frame, better shocks... and whole bunch more stuff. and still the YFZ would still outperform the Z400 is any test they did.

im not trying to talk you out of buying a quad other then the YFZ, but if you want to race, like you said you wanted to. the YFZ is the way to go.

 

ya i think he understated a "few" mods to the 400 and it will run with a yfz,no way no how,all my friends i ride with have either the z400 or the kfx400 or a raptor,they all have mods,my yfz has no performance mods and i have no problem at all staying ahead of them,,,,,,,,,,,bottom line is if your gonna race the yfz is hands down the best quad for that purpose,,,,i think of it this way i ride my yfz all over in forward if i need to ge backwards i can push it once in awhile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
