Default Rear Shock on a 400ex adjustment

How the hell do you adjust your rear shock on my 400ex. I apologize if there are ten messages explaining this. I keep bottoming out when I hit the ground and no it isn't blown. It is just factory set and I like the air. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How much do you weigh? Are you coming down on a lander or flat ground?

Chances are you are too heavy for the factory spring. You only have the preload adjustment and the compression setting. You can make the compression harder to a point but then risk blowing a seal.
