Well ladies, gentlemen, children of all ages (or 16 and up anyway), this sounds like the sport-utility to end all sport-utilities (or until Polaris makes a 1000cc, 1000LB. tank). The review I read may have been biased (Bomb owner and rider), but they supposedly had direct comparison with a Brute Force, KingQuad, 800 Sportsman, etc. riding right there with the new machine. This is the information that is being transmitted in the Bomb forum as we speak:

Power: "eat a Brute Force for lunch, then have dessert, speedo upwards of 90", did I mention EFI?

Suspension/Handling:IRS slightly stiffer than a KingQuad for high-speed stability (rider claims to be long-time SRA guy), plush to be comfy

Price was very hefty at almost $9,000. I'm not a Bombardier fan at all, but the way this guy talked: wow. Even if it turns out to be junk, Honda needs to step up to the plate. Oh and no, by that I don't mean "bold new graphics!"

agreed, Honda needs to step up. If they can do it in the Motocycle world, why are they sitting on there butts in the ATV world!

It sounds very awesome
I read a article by atv connection(don't know link) that said 58% more power than a king quad!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends king Quad hangs with my 400ex(stock) I'm faster but not by much. The bomb. is like 100LB lighter so it should really scream(but man are they ugly) can't wait to see one in action!!!!!!!!!

Honda is still number no matter how big of an engine some other manufactuer has. every other manufacturer rushes out with the next best thing and they are junk like the SP700/800EFI with the injectors breaking, the brute force is just flat out garbage from what i heard and suzuki with what ever the other guys were complaining about with the reverse thing not working. honda takes their time and gets things done RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. yeah the engine braking sucks but other than that nothing ever breaks. And yes that transmission is better than a belt, so dont say its not because it is.

I myself am not a Polaris fan, but the Kawasaki Brute Force and the Suzuki KingQuad are excellent machines. I love and will always love Honda, but you cannot go and bash on everything else. I'm sorry to say, but the reality is that against the aforementioned machines, the Rincon would more or less be eaten alive in stock form as far as performance. Yes, I believe Honda is still #1 in quality and reliability, but in performance, they've definitely fallen short. Just to further this, I did some snooping around in the Yamaha forum and supposedly there are to be some big changes being introduced tomorrow, with the Grizzly being a good candidate for improvement. If it does get more displacement, that leaves Honda with a knife in a gunfight (or something like that). Honda will be the only one of the big four to have their largest utility at 650cc's. In fact, I believe Arctic Cat would be the only other manufacturer with something under 700cc's besides Honda.

Honda doesnt have the cake on this one, the 4-tec bomb engine is excellent and IMO even better than the v-twin in my Prairie. They are durable and very powerful and have been around for long enough to know that they are solid. Replaced any rincon transmissions lately???
