Default Broken bolt..lower right rear A arm

Has anyone else experienced this? The bolt broke cleanly off leaving the threaded end still in through the bushing.I can foresee a nightmare getting this out!

I have broke 4 bolts on my 2002.
Take the tire off, Remove the lower arm bolts, drill a pilot hole into the broken bolt & then us a EASYOUT. The bolt should back right out.
(Mine did anyway).

Here is the fix. Mine was a 3/8 " bolt, go get some grade 8 bolts & replace all of them at once. Use some blue Loctite thread locker on the threads, assemble, tighten up & then regrease the bushings.

I did this about 700 miles ago & i haven't had a problem since.
If it happens again I will use a allen head cap screw, these are Grade 12. (Real Hard Steel).

I understand it's not that uncommon. Grade 8 fasteners are the recommended fix. The bolts on your 700 should be 7/16"-14 x 2.75". I think Gitrdone is referring to Loctite 242 threadlocking compound. The compound is blue, not the packaging.

Thanks guys, I got that out last night by welding a nut on the broken bolt.....no problems with that. The problem lies with getting that size bolt in a higher grade and in 2 3/4". I'm definitely not using a gr.5.
