I'm setting up my bike for motocross and wondering who makes the best shocks.

Look at TCS. They are just as good if not better than PEP. Plus, you can get them in about a week!
Go to eitehr www.ctracing.com or www.kandkatv.com

I have heard good things about TCS. One guy I talked to who had previously had PEP on his 310R recently purchased TCS shocks and is very pleased with them. He said he purposely landed some monster jumps on the front end and still couldn't get them to bottom. Hope this helps.

Any of the above-mentioned brands are worthwhile improvements to oem suspension. I happen to use TCS's on my Warrior for desert & XX (until my recent get-off, that is) & I find it hard to imagine any other brands being a better improvement in any area. If you do decide to contact CTRacing, they will interview you to learn exactly what your riding style is and also your skill level.[red] My advice is not to blow any smoke at them re either question to avoid getting shocks set up that are not really for your level or intended purpose.[/red] Mine were set up for fast desert & XX at the intermediate level & are perfectly suited to me. Be advised, however, that if set up for vigorous riding, either mx or xx, they will be a little stiff for casual trail use.
In my case, if I wish to do that I ride my KQ.
