Cant get my bike to idle correctly.
#1
Hey all. I noticed i cant get my bike to idle correctly... like compared to my friends raptor 350 and 400ex, mine idles much higher. when i try to lower the idle with the idle screew the bike either dies, or asoon as i touch the throttle it dies instantly. I have a straight-through pipe and a open airbox.. i also noticed once or twice when i hit the throttle and it stalled, that a big puff of blue smoke came out the airbox. I have 25 piolits on 2.5 turns out each. i also notice that when i go from like WOT to idle sometimes the idle boggs down real low and sounds like its about to die then goes back to idle.... plz help! One more thing, when tuning the Piolit screews, do you do both the same or what? Like same amount of turns on each carb??

I think your lean off idle. Pull the choke on just a bit and see if it still does it. If it still does it, I'm wrong. If it doesn't, richen it up a bit. Non pumper carbs are even more behind on this issue.
PS, make sure the quad is good and warmed up before doing this.
