05' 700/800 Overheating Anyone??
#1
Just wondering if anyone has had an overheating issue with their 2005 Sportsman 700 or 800. I am having an overheating problem with mine specifically when the radiater gets a little dirty. Not dirty to the point where half of it is plugged but just from normal trail riding.
I have made all of the basic checks, coolant level, fan operation etc.... If you did have a problem I would be interested in knowing how you solved it.

take the radiator screen protector off and make sure its not clodded with mud. you can also spray it from the top side inside the front cargo box. if none of that works you have a water pump problem or maybe your thermostat is sticking. i took mine to a mud bog 2 months ago and had that old thick sticky mud all up in my radiator and it never once run hot. good luck.
