Got new boots, raising the gear shifter?????
#1
I got some new gear today and my boots will not go under my gear shifter without me being VERY uncomfortable. I attempted to raise the gear shifter, and dont even think I did and if I did it was unnoticable. It is a 05 Raptor 660. Can anyone explain how they solved this problem. I can get my toe under the shifter, but just the tiny sole part, not my whole toe. There was a little silvery screw next to the shifter with a nut on top and bottom and a circular thing in the middle. I loosened the nuts and twisted the screw thing but it ended up coming out the the brase at the bottom. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!!!!!

I figured out how to raise it. I had to take the shifter off at the shaft and turn it up a couple of notches. Then once I did that my front sprocket cover was blocking it from going from 3-5th so I took the sprocket cover off. No need for it I guess, but the boots still fill funny but atleast now my toe will go underneath the shifter.

I had the same problem to but someone told me to drench the boots in water and then go ride or just walk around in them for a good portion of the day and it really helped them get broke in.But before I was told that I broke the shifter linkeg 4 times on my old warrior.

dont drown the boots in water that will just make them stiffer, they will break in after about 4 rides or wear them around your house
make them a tight as they will go and kinda leanback and forth stretching them out i have done this exact thing with about 10 pairs
so i know this works . hope this helps. KRACKER
