300ex handlebar cover...
#1
Has anyone eliminated this cover?what did you do for the ignition switch?I personally don't like the looks of it.The only problem with just taking it off is the fact that it screws the headlight plastic cover and leaves a gross looking void between the bars and the headlight itself.I have seen mini dashes for sale that keep the switch in place but they don't seem to make them for the 300ex.

thanks.I was trying to figure out how to remount it to the handle bars.Never thought of mounting it to the tank plastic or may the side of thr fender just under the handlebars like the warrior. Now all I need it something to cover up the headlight mount.

Get some new bars, with a cross bar and pad. Once that is done you won't see that ugly gap. I used a one inch drill bit to mount the key in the cowling around the tank.
