Default manifold to pipe seal?

Ok i just got a pipe kit for my 400 trailblazer. It says in the instructions to use some kind of sealer on the manifold to pipe connection. The manifold has 2 rings that compress and go into the pipe. What is used as a sealer?
Thanks Chuck

Default manifold to pipe seal?

Is there a brand that works best? Also i got the trail pipe and it came with a orange spring. I was reading and alot of places say that the orange spring is for race pipes not trail pipes. Is this true? thanks.

The pipe kit is a rcr trail kit. on the site it says that you need the stock or green spring. It also says that the orange spring is for the race pipe. Ill call rick tommrow to find out.
