howis LRD for mx?
#2
I dont want to bash on LRD, every motor they do is probably a little different but my riding buddy has a full blown LRD race motor. I ride a mostly stock motor (pipe, carb, reeds & filter) and my bike will pull his through the important ranges 2nd - 5th gear. In 6th he will come blowing by me, but how much does 6th gear matter in MX?
I am wanting to get my motor ported but I dont think LRD will be the person I go to.

LRD pipes are the best. Bottom line. I have a CT 370 long rod kit and LRD pipes and my shee hauls. I traded a set of FMF pipes for the LRD's, and it was a great deal. I dont know much about their motor work. I did race a guy who had a LRD motor and pipes and that shee hauled too. He even had a single carb set-up. I belive the guy that is beating the LRD banshee on a stocker is getting lucky. The LRD banshee must not be jetted right or something. I kill stock banshes's on mine. If his stocker is that fast I want him to bring it down to TEXAS and put it on the gate with me!! J/K! LATER

Not riding a Banshee, riding a Honda 250R so is my friend.
I dont think it is luck, he's had his LRD motor for 2 years now. Dont get me wrong, his motor has good power just not enough difference for the amount of money he paid. I dont think his port job helped him very much. He runs an LRD adjustable pipe, National engine kit, Wiseco piston, 38mm Air Stryker, RAD Valve, much more mods than I have.
Just my $0.02
