pilot jet size in the 400 carb
#1
hey i was wondering wats in the stock 400 carb for a pilot jet...im running a 35 in my 34mm on my tb and it still has a hesitation wen u get on the throttle hard from a stop once the engine warms up. i got the tb needle and needle jet in it with a 190 main jet and the 35 pilot jet and the air/fuel screw 1.75 turns out...do u think i should go down to a 30 pilot?
im goin riding tommrow and i dont feel like havin a dead spot in my power wen im racin our 400

You usually won't notice a rich pilot unless you are just riding real slow or its just idleing a lot. If you are gonna be racing then you probably wont notice it real bad. But give her a try.
