race gas question
#6
The porting isnt what decides what fuel for you to run entirely. It matters most on how the head is configured on a 2-stroke and on a 4-stroke the engine compression.
Example for a 2-stroke (since your name is 2strokescreamer) is this: Say your head is set up at 160psi cold cranking compression (or 14:1 UCCR) and your squish is .065. This wouldnt really need anything more then a pump gas. Now if your motor is setup at 185psi (or say 16:1 UCCR) and your squish has changed to .045 you are going to be much more prone to detonation, and that would require a race fuel to prevent this. Hope this helps...
btw, how do you "order" porting
