Does your mobil 10w 40 have the energy concerving label on it? If it does, then it has moly in it.
Theres a line of thinking which says having moly in the oil, can lead to clutch slipping.
If the clutch is adjusted properly, and it doesnt slip in the first 3 gears, just changing out the oil, to a motorcycle specific oil ( non moly), might be all it needs.
