Whether to put a cam in my 2000 SP, trade for an HO,or wait for a 700 SP?

Decisions, decisions. I just talked to my dealer who said that "Mum is the word on the 700"
They saw two new Rangers, due to come out next spring, but rumours are all that is up with the mystery "Raptor Killer". He said that the project is so hush-hush that final configuation isn't known. Will it be a Sportsman or a Sport?
A V-twin or side by side? a Two stroke or Four?
Don't expect anything before next summer.
Well, that is sure a lot to think about.
And reception of the new H.O. Sportsman has been so terrific that it might affect the outcome of the 700 project. Kawasaki's new 650 V-twin looks
impressive, but does Polaris even care? The Raptor may be the target, and Polaris may be gunning for, well, Top Gun. As Monty Python used to say, "And now for something completely different". Wouldn't that be a breath of fresh air?
SO back to my selfish interests, a cam and carb and clutch spring would help an already good
machine get better. But, the H.O. has a lot of subtle improvements beyond those and the clutch cover, which I have. I think I'll keep it, hop it up a little, then trade in my 325 Mag when the
700 comes in. Where's that darn crystal ball when you need it?

i have heard from a very good source that there will be a sp700 out before the kawie650 hits the dealers. i dont know exactly when thought. polaris has the king in the big 4X4 market and the biggest threat is the kawie650. the person that i talked to said polaris knows all about the kawie650 and are not worried because they have a "surprise" for kawie. its the sp700. the sp500ho is a great machine, if u want a machine now get the HO if u can wait till spring there might be a sp700 out.
from what i have heard the 700 is a in-line twin. there have been several people that have seen the engine in production at the oscola engine plant in wisconsin.
