whenever i come to a stop and then it goes into idil it dies. does anyone know what could be doing this. And yes the gas is on!!! lol

 

you need to adjust your idle speed mixture

 

could it be the spark plug. i dont think its ever been changed

 

Possible clogged pilot jet. Does it seem to want to creep ahead before it dies that would be a clutching and or belt issue. Good luck

electronic throttle control.... it prevents a stuck throttle and kills the engine when you let off the thumb lever

I think they are talking about the black box between the thumb stick and the throttle cable. If you pry open the top there is a contact switch in there. My guess would be plug or filter though. I just had a new one on my scrambler and it was a brand new quad afterwards. It was the origional filter on a 2002 quad.
