question on gearing my 05 tb
#2
The gear ratio would be about the same. The gear ratio of 11/36 would give you a final ratio of 3.27. The final ratio of 13/42 is 3.23 so you wont tell much with .04 of a gear change. If you want more bottom end you want to go with a bigger rear or smaller. If you want better top end speed you want smaller rear and bigger front. So a 11/42 would give a 3.81 ratio. A 13/36 would give a 2.77 ratio. The smaller the final ratio the faster top speed but more power is used to get there. The bigger the final ratio the better the bottom end or take off will be and less power is used. So depending where you want your power will depend on gear combination. If you really want a change in performance you can tune the stock clutch or buy a pipe and clutch kit. So the final answer to your question is not much would happen.
