Trailblazer 250 sticking rear brake
#1
Some friend's of mine have 2 identical Trailblazer 250cc quads of the late 90's vintage. One of them recently started using more gas than the other and we found that the problem is the rear brake is stuck and won't fully release. Is this a common problem on them? We've tried bleeding the brakes, but to no avail. I think the caliper is stuck, but I wanted to ask some other people that might be more familiar witht his quad first.
So, if the caliper is stuck like I suspect, is there a rebuild kit for it? Can you buy new and/or rebuilt calipers? If you can, is there some place to get them cheap? thanx!!

have you taken the rear calaper off to see what is making it stick it could have gotten dirt or something in the and make it not fully retract again.it may need a new calaper or a rebuild kit to make it work properly again.

lol, i would check the foot pedal maybe it isnt fully retracting either and not leting up on the brake but you need to fondle every possibility to see what is making it stick, have you tried pushing on the pedal and spraying the calaper with WD40 and see if that helps.

I have gone and played with the pedal myself but to no avail. Next time I ride with them, I'll take a closer look at it and spray some WD40 on it to try to get it worked loose.
