Pre 05, no difference except the name, and it got a bigger carb in 03 or 04 (???). In 05 it got reverse, and new body work.

 

i prefer fourtrax over sportrax it has a better ring if you ask me.........just throwin that out there

so are they basically the same thing performance wise....i always wondered that too...

 

I will let you make the call. If they are the same, but only have different stickers each year. Do the stickers make a different in performance? Now some people say that the more stickers that you have the faster that it will go.

 

What year did it get the larger carb??? Anybody know???

 

99 was the only (and first) year of the "fourtrax" 400EX.

WHY they didnt keep this name is beyond me.
