Raptor head pipe red hot
#6
Hmmmm.... I dont believe this at all. It has to be running way to lean for it to be hot like that. I have never seen a headpipe on any atv let alone all the raptors I ride with glow red hot at the darkest of night. I would say the jetting is way off.

mine glows red at night, and i had mine jetted at the place i bought my raptor from, jetting is right on, my other friend has a raptor also, it glows at night too....so i dont think the jetting has much to do with it...

they will glow bright red when the jettings off, they should glow red even when the jetting is exactly right.
The headpipe stainless steel walls are thinner than stock headpipe. therefor they heat up quicker. Plus the inside of the headpipe for the yoshi is larger diamater than stock, thus allowing more air flow and more heat passing through.
It's ok, just check your plug and make sure it isnt white and your good to go.
(i thought the same thing when i first installed mine too)
