Default Grizz starting in gear

I know that all u have to do is hold the brake so that u can start the machine in gear but is there some way to make it so i dont have to pull on the brake to start in gear? Also is anybody else having trouble finding park on there grizzly i have to play around with it to get it into park just wondering if anybody else is having the same trouble. Thanks

There are two wires going to the brake lever on the left side. The switch is normally open,....and when the lever is squeezed, the circuit is closed. A quick and dirty way, is to cut the wires, and hook them together. Or you can track the wires back, to the connector, unhook the connector, and make a jumper across the connector on the motor side, and just let the lever side of the connector hang.
I know i have to do the honda rock (rocking forward and back), to get mine to engage the light, in almost all ranges. Some rev the motor, to get the final engagement, but i found that makes the gears grind, so i just do the rock.

Like Hondabuster said - bypassing the start in gear brake switch isn't hard. Just curious why you want to.
As for the finding park, I adjusted my shift linkage to make park easy to hit, but now you can't get low to work. Oh well, back to the adjustment, and guess I will just have to live with park being a pain to "rock" into.

I'm interested in bypassing it because i do alot of mud riding and if the machine dies its a pain to grab that brake lever instead of just hitting the button.

Check your pm for the web address.

No , the switch for allowing the shifter to move thru reverse, is down by the right foot. And if you do that bypass, be aware the tranny can suffer damage, it the wheels are rolling, when going into reverse. Thats why the switch is there.
Check out grizzhoppers site,
here, and it describes the switch, where it is, and how you defeat it.
