Default 2005 500 SP OR 2005 600SP???

Hi, I'm new here and have a few questions? I live in n.e. Pa. and can get a new 500 sp for 6230 OTD. or a new 600sp for 6634 OTD. I,m looking mostly to ride with my youger children and plow snow at our deer camp. I like the smoothness of the twin but for the difference in price of the 600 to 500 I could apply that money to a plow?? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.-Joe.

Welcome to the Connection Joe. The 600 twin will give you more bottom-end torque over the 500, it may not be any faster due to more wheel spin, but does increase the fun factor if you like to play around.

Since you are choosing an ATV to plow snow at your deer camp, the 500 with the pull-start is good insurance should your battery die. The plow set-up uses a winch to rise and lower the blade and may drain a sick battery.
The 600 has an upgraded charging system with 300 watt output and a larger battery but no pull-start.

Both quads will do a good job for you. I plow and ride in deep snow all winter with my 600 with no problems.

Good luck.
