01 Warrior 350 Upgrades
#1
Hey y'all. I recently bought a 01 Warrior and am very happy with it. I mainly do a lot of trail riding/fast cruizing/climbing. Sometime in the near future, I was planning on doing a few mild mods to give it a little more "punch". I recently ordered a UNI air filter (needed a new filter, would it help out at all?) and was thinking of getting a new exhaust as well as jetting it.
Not looking to get something really loud or expensive. It would also need to have a certified spark arrestor (I travel and trail ride often) and be fairly low maintenance. Now here's where I'm confused, would I have to buy a jet kit seporate, or do all exhaust systems come with their own jets? If not, are you just supposed to guess which jet kit to buy that would work with the exhaust you buy? Would I notice much power difference with the new exhaust and jet upgrade? Any suggestions on what system/jets would be great.
Any other cheap(er) upgrades out there that would help me out? I don't want to bore it out or do any engine work. I really want to keep it running smoothly and reliably as much as possible. I also like having my torque, so I don't really want to re-gear.
I am not new to quads (rode a bayou 220 for 8+ years), but am new to the area of modding. Any advice would be appreciated.
BTW- I have DG nerf bars/bumper/skid plate/arm guards already installed if that makes any difference.
