Default Finished my Rebuild

Finished my Rebuild Saturday.

Eaglecollector came over this weekend and help me tear down my DS and install the HR-3 Cams HPR 12:1 piston and the upgraded valve springs along with the new ported intake. All I need to do now is swap out the stock clutch plates and springs for the new Barnett 9 disk kit sitting on my garage floor. Now if the weather would just come down from the low 100’s I could take it out for a test ride…

I want to sincerely thank Larry for his patience, his wisdom and for polishing off the rest of my beer supplies....lol.

Now all I need is a better carb......maybe a TM45.....

"Now all I need..."

HA! yeah right! That list is never ending! No sooner do I get a new part on and I think"Oh, now all I need is..."
That is really cool you got to meet a forum member AND he came over to help work on your junk. (disclaimer:that last word was in a humorous way!)
I wish I had a friend that would help me with my valve adjustment:-)
Tell us how she runs when it cools down out there.

Yea Brian, It was great meeting Larry. We have allot more in common then just the bikes.
He and I have been e-mailing each other since January and when he finally came over he said he lived less then 5 minutes from my house..... ....

He spoke very highly of so many from this site. I'm really looking forward to meeting others from the forum as well.

Eaglecollector is moving to his dream garage next weekend but I'm sure with a little advanced notice we could make it no problem. Oh and we require grub as well.....

Ya know, the real reason he came over to help is because he wants another DS to ride with to put the hurt on his brothers Raptor (mine).

PS. I think, but not sure, Larry may still have his TM45 around somewhere.

See ya at the dunes someday.

Glad that I could be of help Don. Actually im just glad you had plenty of beer J/K But really, Thank you very much for the great hospitality bro.
Don's right we live right around the corner and down the street from each other. Until next weekend that is. Then it'll be about 45 minutes. Still close enough to hook up and get in some good riding.
I do stll have the TM and port match intake to my head. But I've been saving that cause someday I want to see if my DS like to drink as much as I do Thats the only reason I still have it. Other wise I would have given it to Mike (DSJobber) a long time ago. Although I think he's running the HV now.
Any way Im sure that you all can tell by his posts. But Don, (AKA Scoundrel in these parts) is a great guy as you will soon get a chance to see for yourselves.
