Default Ace Swinger arm

I am getting ready to purchase the Ace +4 swing arm for my 04 DS. I have a couple of questions. I was told today by a local dealer that they are awesome swing arm and you can use your stock carrier for it. The only problem he has had is getting the stock bearings out of the stock swing arm. They ended up just replacing them. Also I am curious about what length chain to go with. How do I know what length to use???

Are you talking about the brass pivit bushings and the needle bearings that are in the pivit tube that mounts to the chassis? You will just want to replace those with new ones. About $50.00 You will almost always destroy the stock ones when you try to drive them out. Your dealer is right about reusing the stock carrier. I will try to get a chance and count the links on my chain tomorrow. My first swingarm was a +4 and the chain I got was 4 links too short. But my current chain is rite on the money. Be sure you buy a good quality chain since there is a lot of cheap a$$ chains.

You will need a 130 link chain and a chain breaker to get it exact.
