I am in the process of painting my hubs, swinger, brake disc holder, sprocket holder etc. I just had a few questions about painting my swinger. Can i paint tthe 2 mating surfaces on the bearing carrier and teh swinger, where they meet together..I was just going to go ahead with it but i didnt want to have any sealing probs between the 2 allowing water to get into my swinger..Thanks A Lot

 

I'd recommend having the swing arm powder coated, as that is more important then the other parts. You don't want to mess with painting around that carrier and smacking it back in to fit, gobbing up the paint, as it will chip off anyway after a few rocks or ripping through the sand. that's just my 2 cents.

 

seriously bro, the hell with painting, its going to wear off so rapidly, isnt not even worth you taking all the junk apart. powdercoating has 10x the wear of over reg. paint. You can get you swingarm done for around $35.

 

Well, CAN i paint the mating surface where the carrier mats up to the swingarm!!!!!!! The surface that shifts back and forth on the swinger for chain adjustment. Thats ALL iwant to know..not my other choices,,thanks

 

if u bring your parts that u want powdercoated to the powdercoated guy he will tell u if it can be powdercoated or not.

 

i dnt see y u wouldnt be abbile to paint it
