No kidding, another exhaust head nut and lockwasher gone, even after I've taken it to the dealer for this problem already. Then I was'nt sure if that was the only noise I was hearing so i looked it over and the rear prop shaft pin had slid all the way out and was about to come off!! This would leave the rear drivetrain useless if the joint were to come off. 520 miles.

The joint can't come off, be more worried bout the pin wearing a hole in the trans case, that's when the real fun starts.

It has happened, your dealer should be addressing these "issues" as u have been back several times to them. I think u need to get a new dealer, someone who knows what to look for.

Kinda sounds like he got an 800 with every prob polaris ever had, the roll pin will do this RARELY on models with rear prop shafts. 600.700.800's

The roll pins can be held in place using safety wire, AKA mechanics wire.

You guys are being way too hard on him. He obviously has a lemon, I'd be angry too. Instead of bashing him, try encouraging him or give him ideas on how to manage his problems with his Sp800.

Bionic, you need to speak to the Polaris rep for your dealer and start there. I'm sure you've documented your problems, discuss those problems with your rep and also how the dealer has failed to properly rectify your problems. Follow up with written documentation to the rep in a form of a letter that rehashes your conversation and what his possible solutions are, and you have to press him to offer solutions to your problems. Ask him who his boss is, usually a regional rep and cc him the letter also.

If that doesn't work, let's discuss the next step......

Wish we didnt have clowns like you in this forum. Id be extremly mad if I bought a new atv and had all the problems he has had. With all the problems the new SP have been having I wouldnt think about buying one any time soon IMO.
