Sell Rincon for 800 Bomb??
#1
Well I just got back from riding it. Its a small dealership located in Elizabethon Tenn. That had a place to ride down next to the Highway beside the railroad tracks. I noticed on inspection different wheels and tires had been put on.
The woman said take for a spin but not too fast. She said here son had been riding wheelies on it. I started it up and it didn't fire up instantly but its 90 degrees outside.
It has the deep throaty v twin sound but not the same type of Rumble that is found on the Kawasaki v twins to my hear. Especially the Brute's.
I opened it up some in the grassy area and the bike has inpressive speed. It is smooth. It really wnated to spin more than anything in the grass. When I tried it in low range it still wanted to spin but was wanting to lift the front end to You could tell it wouldn't take much in low to lift the front up.
I then talked to them about the deal and trade. He said they would trade. But he said we have a better option for you. Said they would sell my Rincon for around 6ish and by the time they sold it the 800s would be arriving. So he said the standard model would be 8800$. So that leave me owing about 2800$ and he said we could finance that through Bombradeir. Payments were like 69 bucks a month I thnk he said. I told them I would think it over tonight and if decided to do it I woiuld bring the Rincon over in the Morning.
Some other things I noticed besides what has been said, it does NOT ride as good as the Rincon IMO. It is more stable feeling but also stiffer and doesn't have the comfort of the Rincon. The Rincon is more plush. The machine ALSO doesn't seem really big when your sitting on it. It also seemed a little harsh to steer to me at slow speed. Just trying to turn it around there in the small riding area the steering seemed stiff, like it was in 4X4 but it wasn't.
I 'll think it over but I don't think I will take them up on the offer to sell the Rincon for this.
