Default 800 Sportsman Gas mileage on street tires

Hey Folks,

The results are in, I am still in the breakin phase but I was able to get an accurate fuel milage report I went 47 Miles on 2.6 gal. = somewhere around 18MPG. Not as bad as I thought it would be. It is ALL street time, there is some HWY but mostly less then 40MPH.

I am looking forward to it, when i had my Scrammy we rode all over Tx and Ky, and I miss the mudd holes. The Street tires really grip, I was just srewing around the first day i got them and I got on the throttle a little bit and almost flipped it over. they never slipped at all, lesson learned LOL.

Take care and safe riding,

Jef

18MPG? don't most motorcycles get around 50mpg? 18 sucks IMO. you'd be better-off driving a 3/4 ton Chevy/GMC or Dodge Ram with a Hemi. how much do you pay for a gal of gas?
