Default 95 polaris sportsman 400 4x4

yes i have a 1995 polaris sportsman 400 4x4 new stator and flywheel and it will fire but not rev up or idle i need help as soon as possibale

Piston skirt broke off????

Check the engine compresion it needs to be 100psi min 120psi is better.

Double check the pilot jet and check the intake boot for cracks.

I had a 95 400 before I went to a 500. I always had problems with the sparkplug. Just because they look good and are clean, does not mean they are working right. This was the main reason I went to a 4 stroke. If the timing is correct, don't overlook the little things like the plug.
One other thing that will kill a 400 2-cycle.............. a stopped up exhaust. Mine started running hot and crappy, overhauled the top end and that was no help. Took the muffler to be vatted out and it ran like new. Moral of this story is...what goes in, must come out. Good luck.

Wher would you get your 1995 polaris sportsman 400 muffler vatted?
