Help finding 2002-03 ds650 part trigger coil
#1
Unfortunately, Bombardier has been an absolute failure to me. I'm glad they work well for you guys.
I actually have a 650 Quest XT, but after some research it looks as if the trigger coils between 2002 and 2003 (maybe more?) are the same.
You see, to replace the ignition coil in the Quest 650 XT, you also have to replace the stator/generator because they are assembled together in the same wiring harness. Grand total on the stator/trigger coil assy? $425. Obviously, that had me angry, coupled with the fact that no dealership around me knows what's going on with the Quest. Even the local dealer called Indianapolis, and that service department said they had only worked on three of these units since their inception. So I did the research and found that these parts are the same. All I will have to do is solder wires on to the new trigger coil. Now, I would happily purchase a new one, but guess what! B is out of them!
If ANY of you guys know someone who has even used parts or a racing team that might have them in stock, please email me or post here again.
The dealership I talked to is so upset over the whole thing they are calling my machine in to see if their are any recall issues and to see if the thing has some sort of warranty left on it.
