Default Shock Wrench

The stock wrench that came with the machine broke while adjusting the suspension. is there any place I can buy a replacement that will actually work.

There are a couple of aftermarket ones available. You do know you are not suppose to have any weight on the wheels when you adjust the shocks, don't you. Otherwise you will break the wrench.

Those things are crappy, they will break even with no weight on them. I just use a channel lock.

Don't waist your money getting another one ,I broke the one I had the first time I used it ,I had all the wheels off the ground and had adjusted 3 out of 4 when it broke .
The best tool for the job is an automotive tie rod adjustment tool for alignments ,I think it's about $35.

Channel locks works well, but if you go to your local store that sells gas operated water pumps you can puck up a tool called a spanner wrench. Or call and ask aound at hardware stores. Out here on the west coast Cenex and any Sthil saw shop carries them. Looks very similar to the spring adjustment tool since the spanner wrench is used to tighten the hose connections (from 1-1/2 to 3 inches) on water lines and pumps. I have two sizes a 12 inch and a 6inch. My brother picked them up for me I think together they cost 15 bucks.

That's funny... When I was adjusting our shocks, it was the shock that broke, not the tool.

Mine bent the first time I used it too. I mentioned it to my dealer and he said their shop uses channel locks as the AC wrench is a POS.

Broke mine too! My CAT dealer happens to also be a Yamaha dealer and gave me a replacment free, it was a Yamaha and made of steel instead of cast crap. I also broke some teeth off the shocks so they relpace them too with an up grade that has holes instead of tabs.

I also broke the rear foot brake housing twice so I just threw it away, so I only have the hand brakes, foot brake was so weak that the only use was to hold the machine in place, it couldn't stop a 10 speed bicycle. Some day I will put a "T" in the brake line and have brakes on both rear wheels instead of just on the left. I know it is a locked axle but the added brake will help. I also plan to reattach the foot brake but not with a cable but within the hydralic setup. A simple "T" in the line and if needed a second bowl... I think I can get most of the part of some used motorcycle. This way when I use the foot brake it will go for all fours instead of one rear. Might even put a right hand lever too... lol
